What I'm Reading...

I'm always behind the times. When I was younger, I never caught up with fashion trends until they were about turn tide again. I didn't find Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series until she was on the 11th one. And I've just finished reading my first "In Death" book by J.D. Robb! :O

I read the first one this past week and started the 2nd one last night (although it's the third in the series - I can't find the 2nd one locally). I have to confess, I've tried reading Nora's books and have never been able to get into them. But I enjoyed the first one in the "In Death" series and look forward to reading more.

And I finally understand why Roarke is constantly listed as a favorite hero!!!! He's pretty yummy!!

So what are y'all reading?

I'm so excited - hubby is off this weekend. The first weekend he's been off since we went to Daytona!

Oh, also, he had a follow-up appointment at Duke yesterday and it was more great news!! The tumor is continuing to shrink!!! Thank God!!

Hope it's a wonderful weekend for everyone!
Peace and Love,
Alannah

Great news, Alannah - I'm so happy for you all.

I think I must get that J.D. Robb book - I, too, have heard Roarke is an amazing hero.

I'm reading Victoria Dahl's "The Rake's Guide to Pleasure" - I loved her contemporary "Talk Me Down" and thought I should check out her historicals. I'm not disappointed.

Have a great weekend - and I'll see you in chat.

Alannah! I will send you #2! It's important! Seriously. Email me your snail mail and I'll put it in the mail today overnight priority!

I adore the In Death series. JD Robb is NOT Nora Roberts. Well, she is, but... The two styles are completely different. I have trouble getting through Nora's books, too.

I'm STILL reading Carrie Lofty's WHAT A SCOUNDREL WANTS. Her descriptive ability and turn of phrase is terrific but I just haven't connected with the characters or the story. I'm sad. I really WANT to like this book.

Hey Silver! I just sent you an e-mail through your website. But I'll send you another one at your direct address.

I'd love to read it but you don't have to rush it to me. Just send it by media mail. I'll send you reimbursement when I send it back to you.

Thanks!!

Hi Janet!

I think I've read Victoria Dahl, but not the historicals. I don't really get into them much, but I love that title!! That one I might have to to check out!

Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Great news Alannah! I'm so happy for you and your husband.

I love Nora's books, but her JD Robb In Death series are my favorite books she has written. I've read every one of them and buy the new ones as they come out. You will love this series, and yes Roarke is so very yummy!

I'm currently reading The Associate by John Grisham. I started reading his books back in college and my friend loaned me her copy, so it jumped ahead of other books in my tbr pile.

I've thought about reading Grisham's books several times but haven't ever gotten them when I've been at the library. I'll be interested to see what you think about it, so let me know when you've finished it.

And thanks for the high-fives from everyone on hubby's report!!

Have a great weekend!
