"When you speak of someone or about someone, you should speak as though they were in the room with you. The ears that you speak to today are attached to the mouth that could relay the message tomorrow."

William 'Biddy' Allen
1903-2001, Bus Driver - Loving father of 7 children

This saying reminds me of something a friend once told me. Her father always said, "Never say anything you wouldn't want told on the evening news."

Great advice!!

I'm off to Raleigh to test drive a car for Son #1. He wants this car, but it's a stick and he doesn't know how to drive it. Ummm...not sure what he's going to do once he actually gets the car but it could be interesting. LOL

Have a great day!
Peace and love,
Alannah

Great quote, and so true. Along the lines of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", which was repeated to me as a child.

Son #1 buying a manual = Alannah giving lessons.
hehe

Have a great day!!

Great quote. Lu beat me to the "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". That was one of my dad's favorite things to say to us when we were growing up.

Take Son#1 to a parking lot to teach him how to drive a manual.

Alannah, I love this quote. I think we should post it on a sign in my school. I am gonna steal it for my FB status, is that cool with you?

Drive safely to Raleigh...and the $1 million question is how will son #1 drive it if he doesn't know how to drive a stick? Hmmm...does he ride dirt bikes? I hear the shifting is similar to sticks.

Peace and love,

Hi everyone! Well...car purchased. I drove it - yikes! 300 hp, that baby will get up and go. We found a decent sized church parking lot that he could at least drive a little in. He got it all the way to 3rd and then ran out of parking lot. LOL I'm sure he'll pick it up pretty quickly.

His room mate has a stick and said he could teach him to drive "no problem." And he loves this car so I'm sure he'll pick it up quickly.

Paula - or anyone else - please feel free to steal this quote. Or any of them. I stole them from some one else, so.....

LOL
