What I'm Reading....

COVET
by J.R. Ward
October 2009

Redemption isn’t a word Jim Heron knows much about—his specialty, both personally and professionally, is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins. His weapon: the power of love. His enemy: the darkest of evil. And failure is not an option.

Vincent Di Pietro has surrendered himself to his business—until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking, Harley-riding, self-professed savior, and a woman who will make him question his destiny. With an ancient evil ready to claim him, Vin has to work with a fallen angel not only to win his beloved over…but to redeem his very soul.

I started reading this the week it came out. But, for some reason, I just couldn't get into it. I guess it just wasn't the right time. I've had it laying on my bedside table and I picked it up the other night and started it again. This, after I got specially ordered the latest Troubleshooter book - which has now been relegated to the bedside table. Unread!! *gasp*

Anyway, now I can't put this book down and have actually taken two evenings this week to not do anything but lay on the couch and read. I never do that!

The weather is supposed to be in the lower 70's this weekend. Hubby is off and boy do I have a huge to-do list for him!! hehe

Hope ya'll have a great weekend!!
Peace and love,
Alannah

After going on a massive reading binge, I've slowed down. I have JD Robb's latest queued up on the Kindle but haven't found any time to just sit and read this week. We're under a winter storm watch for the weekend (after a high in the high 60s today!) If my RWA chapter meeting is cancelled, I plan on curling up under the covers and reading all weekend!

Hey Alannah, I did the same thing with Covet, but that was because I wanted to wait until I had Crave. I didn't though. I love Vinny and Maria Therese. Once I finally decided to read it, I devoured it. J.R. Ward is one of my keeper authors, and I love everything she writes. Have you read her BDB books? Girl, you really should. I think you will enjoy Covet. Have a wonderful reading day.

@Silver, so if it snows you get to read...so are you praying for snow? Have a great day Silver. See you in the Shadows.

Peace and love,
Paula R.

I Love all books by JR Ward. Covet was really good, but her BDB books are even better. I'm going to her book signing in May to get JM's book signed.

I still need to post about 2 books on my blog this week. I've got both blogs started, but haven't had time to finish them yet. Hope between birthday dinners and riding with my friend to Louisville tomorrow, I find time(1st meet with ex-husband to give him kids for a couple of weeks).

Ack! Winter Storm watch?! Holy smokes. Please, please, please don't let that come my way!! LOL

Hey Paula - I'm the same with JR Ward. I have all the Brotherhood books, as well as the Insider's Guide. I've read them over and over and over. That's why I was so surprised when I didn't get into this one right away. But it's different now. I guess the time just wasn't right before.

I am so excited for John Mathews book to come out. I have loved him from the beginning and I hope he kicks Lash's ass from here to there and back again!! I'd love to go to one of her book signings, but she never comes anywhere near me...well, duh, no one does! But maybe some day I'll be a stalker and track her down. hehe

Good luck on the drive, Liza. You're a good friend. That sounds like it will be very stressful going and coming and I'm sure your friend appreciates the company!!

Make it a great weekend, everyone!
