A peek at my iPod - umm....Rap? WTF

Okay, if you asked me what kind of music I listen to, I'd tell you I like all kinds of music. But that I can't stand rap.

Well....I guess that's not entirely true. Here's a few songs from my iPod that probably fall into the rap category. Or maybe hip-hop. At least the artists fall into that category. But I do love all of these songs. And even a few more by each of these artists.

What about you? Any genre of music that you adamantely proclaim you can't stand but yet, there's at least a few songs that you do like?

Happy Thursday!!
Peace and Love,
Alannah

Well, rap will never cross my threshold, end of discussion. The boys feel the same way so there's no chance of it sneaking in, LOL.

If you were to ask me which genre of music I don't care for (which I guess you did) I'd say country. Except I do own and quite enjoy Shania Twain's first album. And the old, old country stuff, like before the '50's is good too. I'm more of a classic rock fan - Zeppelin, Queen, Elton John, etc. Although, the boys are getting me interested in alternative rock, like Muse and Radiohead. And Pavarotti melts my bones *sigh*.

I don't consider Will Smith a rapper, at least not lately. Hip hop is okay, rap gets the radio switched in a heartbeat. Not on my iPod!

Wow. I have rock, prog, new age, folk, classical, show tunes, soundtracks, jazz, Celtic, classic British and American pop, Country/Western...

Lu, if you haven't listened to Laurent Korcia, you should! Check this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3MOlPrUPas

I would say rap wouldn't be on my ipod, but I do love a few songs that would be rap songs. Pretty much have every type of music on my ipod right now.

LOL Alannah!!! Tone Loc...I loved listening to him growing up. I really don't like rap that much, believe or not, but I will listen to hip hop a la Will Smith. I love country, gospel, R&B, reggae, soca, salsa, bachata, some reggaeton, christian, some pop...I don't like heavy metal that much though.

Peace and love,
Paula R.
