Lost Generation

Once again, I'm not reading anything other than craft books and my own writing for editing. Well, I am reading the 4th book in the Stephanie Plum series, but since I've read it a hundred times it doesn't really count. LOL

But I have a video that I want to share with you and today seemed like a great day. This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen/read. This girl is a genius wordsmith and I'm totally in awe of her ability.

And, of what she had to say.

If you've never seen this, I hope you enjoy it and it touches you the way it does me every time I see it. My 23 year old son thought it was so cool, he set it as his status on Facebook. I'm proud to say, a lot of his friends also shared.

Oh, also...good news! Hubby had his checkup appointment at Duke yesterday and the doctor's exact words were, "Your brain looks great. I'm very pleased." Thank God!!

Have a fantastic weekend!!

Wishing you much peace and love,
Alannah

Woo hoo!! Hurray for Hubby! So glad to hear that fabulous news. Phew. Hope the travel wasn't too...intense.

I saw that video before, and was also amazed. The first half is damned depressing, but she turns it around and - wow.

But now, as a writer, I want to know her process! LOL

Have a fab writing day!

Hugs.

I'm so glad you sent that to me, Lu. I'd gotten it before, and had saved it in my "Blog Goodies" folder but couldn't find it.

Do you know how many times I've thought...is it possible to write a book the same way. Half way through, just start reading it backwards and have it be a totally different story than you started with?

Maybe...if someone had 50 years or so to do it. LOL

I'll have to share the "events" of the trip with you guys in chat. As always, there were a few side-items that made it less than great, but nothing I won't get over.

Woohoo!!! So excited for Hubby and his awesome news.

Love this video. I had never seen it before, but will tell others to look for it. Love how she turned the story around.

I'm hoping to get to read some this weekend, but have to get my house ready for my family who will all be in on Wednesday night. Currently reading Heist Society by Ally Carter and Savin' Me (just started but really like the chemistry between Kat & Erik).

hehe...I love Erik. But you know what, he's been with me a long time. I started writing his story 4 1/2 years ago, but he'd been kicking around in my brain for a while before I figured out what I was supposed to do with him. LOL

I don't get to your blog every day, but I'll be there for sure on Thursday and Friday, in case your sister is ableto post updates on you.

I'll also be sending you lots of good, healing vibes this week!!!

Hugs,
Jodie

Love the video. I had never seen this before. I love it!!! I can see why your son used it as his status on FB. I might use it as well, another day. I hope that all is well.

Peace and love,

I wanted to let you guys know how to find that video easily, if you wanted to search or pass it on.

On Youtube do a search for "AARP Lost Generation"

It was part of an AARP contest, and believe it or not, finished 2nd! I can't imagine how awesome the first place on was, if this finished 2nd.

Thanks for all the congrats on hubby too. It has been a long journey. We've learned a lot, about ourselves and each other. I NEVER want to go through anything like that again, but I'm grateful for the blessings that have come from it.
