I need names for the characters of a short story I'm working on and I want you guys to help me decide.
Normally, I wouldn't show pictures because I think it takes away from the reading experience. But this bad-boy fallen angel is just too yummy not to share! (Shhh...don't tell if you recognize him as one of the character of a very popular series) I've narrowed his name down to the following:
Lazare
Lazaro
Luciano
Ludovico
The heroine is a pure as new-fallen snow angel, one of the highest of the highest, who's been sent to save him. And I honestly don't know who's going to win this battle. I've narrowed her names down to the following:
Cairistiona
Carlina
Celestyna
Clarisse
Caritta
What do you guys think? Thanks for the help!

Okay, I'll play! LOL I like Lazaro for the guy, with Ludovico as a close second. For the girl, I'd pick Carlina or Caritta. I'm afraid Silence of the Lambs has forever ruined Clarisse for me. I can't even think of that name without hearing Anthony Hopkins hiss. *shiver* That movie still gives me the creeps.
Anyway, there's my opinion.

Hey Alannah, I like Celestyna for the girl because of the inference to the sky or heavens...Luciano seems more appropriate because it connotates/connotes (not sure which one of those to use) the devil...since he is such a bad boy. I hope that helps.

LOL...OK, so, in my mind I'd been calling him Lazaro but had questioned whether or not I should go with Luciano - for the exact reason you mentioned, Paula.
Hmmmm....maybe I'll need to make this story Lazaro's and do another one about Luciano.
Thanks, Lu, for the tip about the Silence of the Lambs. I haven't seen that movie so I didn't know but I'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way about the name.
Again, Paula, you were thiking the exact same thing I was with the inference to the heavens.

No problem Alannah. Great minds think alike, right? The names Lazaro and Lazare made me think of Lazarus, who rose from the dead, that's why I didn't choose them. Would make for an interesting story though. I can't wait to see what you chose.

Lazaro is my first pick for the guy with Luciano as my second choice. I have to go with Lu on Clarisse, too Silence of the Lambs for me. I really like Celestyna for the girl.
Celestyna for the heroine. Definitely. It's different but still "familiar" and it softly rolls of the tongue like a snow angel should.
For him...hrm...I was reading down the list and the name Lazul (from lapis lazul, the multi-hued blue stone used for jewelry.) As a second choice, I think Lazaro.
